Cousins Terri and Andrew Herenstein and family (and a couple hundred other people) came to Israel to celebrate EJ's Bar Mitzvah...
It was an incredible weekend, a beautiful Shabbat and a great time to see everyone.
The weekend featured dinner at Decks in Teveria followed by a boat ride on Thursday night, lots
of activities on Friday - we went to Manara cliff and
rafting on the Jordan River at Beit Hillel.
Then we had an amazing Shabbat and Melave Malka at Kibbutz Lavi.
We can't thank them enough for everything!
Unfortunately we didn't take tons of pictures - although I'm sure they have plenty. ;-> We did manage to get a picture of Andrew
when we rode up the cable car with him...
It was amazing that this was the weekend before the war broke out in Lebanon.
All of the places that we went were under rocket attacks the next week, and some have suffered direct hits.
May we share better times, like the Bar Mitzvah weekend, in these places and may their rebuilding and recoveries
be fast.
